November 2017

Found 10 blog entries for November 2017.

The numbers are out for October 2017, and it seems that we are still feeling the effects of Hurricane Irma on our market. October closed sales of single family homes in Palm Beach County dropped 3.8 percent as compared to the same period last year, while condo sales dropped 8.5 percent. As discussed in How will Hurricane Irma Impact our Local Residential Real Estate Market, it generally takes several months for the pace of sales to return to normal after a major hurricane. We will need to take a close look at these numbers in the months moving forward to see whether these changes can correctly be attributed to Irma, or whether there are other market forces at play.

The drop in closed sales wasn’t the only notable shift in our market last month. Moving

Just Sold! 2 Bedroom Condo at 4740 S. Ocean Blvd. Unit 1612 in the Boca Highlands: Braemar Isle Condo

Sold Price: $600,000

One of the reasons I love Real Estate is because of the wonderful people I get to meet! It has been my pleasure to help a terrific couple from Toronto find a vacation home.

They found a waterfront condo at Braemar Isle which is one of the premium buildings in the prestigious complex of the Boca Highlands. The building has 237 units, many with superb water views.  The amenities include 4 tennis courts, a private Beach Club with a heated pool and a whirlpool, a club house, a state of the art gym, and boat dockage at the Boca Highlands Beach Club Marina. Just Sold! A 4BR Home at 231 Gregory Road in West Palm Beach

List Price: $370,000.00

I had the pleasure of working with the sellers in what unfortunately turned out to be a challenging transaction. We went under contract within a week of going on the market and were all set to close when Hurricane Irma hit Florida. I went to check on the house after the storm cleared only to find that the garage door had been completely destroyed during the storm. After weeks of delays with permitting, lender challenges, and getting the garage door installed we were finally able to close the deal.

Great 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home located east of South Olive Avenue and South of Southern in the popular Southend (SoSo) neighborhood. Short walk to Flagler Drive
