Best Tips on How to Make Your Move to Boca Raton, FL

Posted by Gloria Singer on Tuesday, December 16th, 2008 at 10:27am.

As an extention to my earlier post regarding "Making the Move to Boca Raton, FL", here are the best tips on choosing the right moving company.

When you start looking for the right company for your move to Boca Raton, FL keep a few things in mind. The different types of moving companies are geared towards what you need when it comes to transporting your belongings to their new home. So, how do you decide which type is right for your big move? There are basically three different types of companies from which to choose.

The full service moving company may be the best choice if you have a lot of things that must be packed and loaded. The full-service company will pack everything, load it, drive to the Boca Raton, FL real estate that you have purchased, unload it, and place the furniture and belongings in your new home. The movers are insured in case of accidental damage. This may be more expensive than the other methods but it is less of a hassle when it comes to the moving and packing. The next type is the self-service moving company. They have different ways for you to choose from so that you can save money. You can pack and load your own belongings and leave the driving of the truck to your Boca Raton home to the moving company.

The last resort is to rent a truck, pack your own belongings, load them on the truck, drive to your new Boca Raton, FL home and unload and unpack. This may save you money in the long run but it can also play havoc with your back. The average person is not adept at packing and placing items in the correct position to protect them during a move and this increases the risk of your belongings being broken or damaged.

Whichever method you choose will be contingent upon budget and your personal preference.  Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like a reference of any of the above types of moving companies.
