It’s official, summer is here and along with its beautiful beaches the City of Boca Raton has plenty more to offer to its visiting vacationers and local staycationers.
MIZNER PARK AMPHITHEATER
Every Friday from June 3, 2016 through to August 19, 2016, Mizner Park Amphitheater will be offering Music and Movies Under the Stars. These free events will include concert tributes to Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Bob Marley and The Eagles. The movies being offered include Minions, starring everybody’s favorite yellow friends in overalls and for those who can’t get enough of the force, Star Wars, The Force Awakens will also be shown.

SATURDAYS AT SANBORN - FREE FITNESS
Come join in the free fitness fun at Sanborn Square. Get fit and stay healthy every Saturday morning at 9:00am with Yoga classes by Yoga Journey or join in at 10:30am for a Capoeira class. Capoeira is a form of Brazilian martial arts that combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music.

SUGAR SAND SUMMER PROGRAM
Kids bored and looking for something to do? Why not enroll them in one of the full-day or half-day programs being offered once again by the Sugar Sand Park Community Center. Available to children ranging in ages from 5-16, the Sugar Sand Summer Program offers something for everyone. There is a wide array of activities to choose from like dance, drama, art, spy camp, filmmaking, Lego robotics and more.

GUMBO LIMBO NATURE CENTER
Gumbo Limbo Nature Center offers a variety of environmental themed programs and events. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Their free events include an Outdoor Marine Aquarium Feeding where you can learn about sharks and stingrays or you can Take a Walk On The Ashley Trail. The quarter-mile natural trail winds through the Butterfly Garden, Coastal Hammock, and Mangroves, to a sandy beach by the Intracoastal.
Interested in learning about Gumbo Limbo’s Hatchling Release? The hatchling release is a fun and unique program about sea turtles beginning in a Gumbo Limbo classroom, followed by a trip to the beach to watch Gumbo Limbo Staff release baby sea turtles into the ocean! FABULOUS FOURTH CELEBRATION - FREE EVENT
The 4th of July celebrations will begin at 6:30pm at the Spanish River Athletic Facility at de Hoernle Park. Family fun and activities will include a Klime Wallz, the most innovative and entertaining artificial climbing wall. A live band will come out at 7:00pm and last but not least, the fireworks will start at 9:00pm
