Wow!  I just can't believe that I am already looking at what is happening in Boca Raton, FL (and surrounding areas) for this July 4th celebration!  Time flies...

Here are the top family fun things to do in and around Boca Raton, FL for this 4th of July:

4th On FLAGLER 2009
This is the area's largest celebration of Independence Day, including not only fireworks, but two stages of entertainers plus a DJ dance area, a children's play area, lots of choices of food and beverages, and an unfurling of an enormous American Flag!  The Firefighters' Splash and Dash is also a great family fun time to have together while Palm Beach County residents and visitors alike take in the City's gorgeous waterfront.  Please note:  No personal fireworks are allowed.
Time:  4th on Flagler 2009 will begin at 5:00 p.m. and end at 10:00 p.m., located along Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach.  The National City Fireworks Show will start at 9:00 p.m., so get there early!
Cost:  FREE!

Downtown Delray Beach July Fourth Celebration
From morning 'til night, the beaches of Delray will be hopping with activies for the entire family on July 4th 2009!  Family fun activities include a Sand Sculpting contest (starting at 8 a.m. and ending at Noon), the 1st Annual Beautiful Baby Bathing Suit contest will be held (cost of $5 per child under 3 - running from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.), the Patriotic Bicycle and Scooter parade (starting at 3 p.m. - no decorations will be provided this year, however), plus free concerts throughout the Delray Beach area (from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.).  Not to mention the spectacular fireworks that will begin at 9 p.m. too!
Time:  Downtown Delray Beach July Fourth Celebration is from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. located at A1A and Atlantic Avenue.
Cost:  Most activities are FREE.

2nd Annual July 4th Celebration at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater
Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation is this year's sponsor for the 2nd Annual July 4th Celebration at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Boca Raton, FL.  The whole family can come and enjoy dancing and signing while listening to your favorite hits performed by the "CK Band", a unique 8 piece dance band. Bring your own blankets, lawn chairs, food and refreshments and get ready for the fireworks that are set to music starting at 9:00 p.m. Please note:  No pets are allowed at this event.
Time:  6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. located at 12551 Glades Road; Boca Raton, FL
Cost:  FREE
