We are in the midst of the holiday season and there is still so much more to do in and around Palm Beach and surrounding areas.

Hanukkah began on the evening of December 6th and ends at sundown on December 14th and of course the countdown to Christmas and New Year’s eve have begun. In between your shopping and prepping, take some time out and try to enjoy one or all of the following events.

Chanukah ImageThis coming Sunday night marks the beginning of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah (Chanukah). Also known as the Jewish Festival of Lights observers celebrate by lighting the Menorah (candelabra) candles for eight nights. The following cities will be celebrating the holiday with the following events.

 

MENORAH LIGHTING - DELRAY BEACH - DECEMBER 6TH @ 5:30PM

Delray Beach will host a ceremonial lighting of the first Menorah candle at sundown Sunday, which is about 5:30 p.m.

The candle lighting will be held on the grounds of Old School Square, 51 N. Swinton Ave., adjacent to Atlantic Avenue. Limited seating will be available.
