Chanukah ImageThis coming Sunday night marks the beginning of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah (Chanukah). Also known as the Jewish Festival of Lights observers celebrate by lighting the Menorah (candelabra) candles for eight nights. The following cities will be celebrating the holiday with the following events.

 

MENORAH LIGHTING - DELRAY BEACH - DECEMBER 6TH @ 5:30PM

Delray Beach will host a ceremonial lighting of the first Menorah candle at sundown Sunday, which is about 5:30 p.m.

The candle lighting will be held on the grounds of Old School Square, 51 N. Swinton Ave., adjacent to Atlantic Avenue. Limited seating will be available.

July 4th Fireworks

Wow!  I just can't believe that I am already looking at what is happening in Boca Raton, FL (and surrounding areas) for this July 4th celebration!  Time flies...

Here are the top family fun things to do in and around Boca Raton, FL for this 4th of July:

4th On FLAGLER 2009
This is the area's largest celebration of Independence Day, including not only fireworks, but two stages of entertainers plus a DJ dance area, a children's play area, lots of choices of food and beverages, and an unfurling of an enormous American Flag!  The Firefighters' Splash and Dash is also a great family fun time to have together while Palm Beach County residents and visitors alike take in the City's gorgeous waterfront.  Please note:  No personal fireworks are allowed.
