The Caldwell Theater was full of music and stage performances, but it filed for bankruptcy. It was shut down in 2011 with very little hope of being reopened. However, when Marilynn Wick took the theater over, hope was restored.

After taking over, Wick decided to renovate the inside before re-opening the theater. With more than 50 acting and production jobs possible, she believed getting the theater up and running again was very important. Not only does she plan to reopen the theater, but also a museum, which is begin built alongside the theater. It will hold the largest collection of costumes in the country and will open in November.

The theater itself recently opened for the first time in over 18 months. It will no longer be called the Caldwell Theatre, however. The new name will be Wick Theatre and the first show will be The Sound of Music. It will run for six weeks and will provide plenty of fun for all theatergoers.

Along with this show, many others will provide options for your experience including:

  • The Full Monte
  • White Christmas
  • 42nd Street
  • And Many More!

A visit to the museum will allow you to take in the Yule Brenner Original King and I costume, along with many others. Original costumes are found throughout the museum and many came from local contributions.

The Theatre is located at 7901 North Federal Highway in Boca Raton and will provide plenty of great shows every year. Single show tickets will be $58 each, while the entire six-show season pass will run $300 per seat.

Whether you come out for one of the many shows or you come out to attend the museum, it's time to reintroduce yourself to one of the top theaters in the Boca Raton area.
