Want to do something different this year for Valentine’s Day instead of the tired old flowers, chocolate and dinner? Why not try a cooking class at Sur La Table in Boca Raton’s Mizner Park.
Here’s something that you can do together as a couple, maybe learn a new cooking trick or two from the professional chef instructor and enjoy what you’ve prepared at the end of the evening.
Beginning on Friday, February 12th thru to Sunday, February 14th, Sur La Table is offering Date Night: Romance in Italy cooking classes. The class is being offered once on Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. and twice on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday classes will be held at 5:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m. and the Sunday classes will be held at 2:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m.
The date night menu will include Spaghetti alla Carbonara, Porcini Crusted Beef Tenderloin with a Chianti Reduction, Shaved Fennel and Pear Salad with Bitter Greens and Pecorino and last, but certainly not least, Espresso Chocolate Budino with Frangelico Cream.
Your instructor will walk you through all of the techniques of cooking pasta to perfection, searing, sauce making and creating a vinaigrette from scratch. All the while you and the other couples will be enjoying the previously prepared antipasti in a fun and friendly environment.
So, this Valentine’s Day do something a little different. Spend a nice romantic afternoon or evening creating and sharing a delicious Italian meal with your significant other and perhaps learn some new cooking techniques along the way.
