Even though the calendar says that summer isn’t officially over yet, the kids in our area have already headed back to school. So, what are you going to do with all of that kid-free time?

In need of a good laugh?

The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival 2016, which is being dubbed as, “the comedy show of the century”, is kicking off its tour down here on Thursday, August 25th at the Perfect Vodka Amphitheater in West Palm Beach. The lineup will include Sebastian Maniscalco, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Jim Jeffries and Iliza Shlesinger to name a few.

Looking for some culture?

Currently on display at the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale is “Five Centuries of Prints From Rembrandt to Picasso: Drs. Walter and Mildred Padow Collection”. The exhibit features over 100 prints from the Padow’s private collection of engravings, etchings, lithographs, and woodcuts from the masters from the 16th through the 20th centuries. Amongst these beautiful pieces are works from Durer, de Goya Klee, Matisse, Renoir, Miro and more.

This collection is on view through October 23rd at the NSU Art Museum, 1 E. Las Olas Blvd. Admission is $5-$12. If you want to keep the mood and the beat of the 2016 Summer Olympics going, then why not check out one or both of these two upcoming concerts.

Brazilian Beat 2016

The City of Boca Raton is once again presenting Brazilian Beat 2016. This free event is taking place at Mizner Park Amphitheater on Saturday, September 10th from 6pm-11pm. Come on down to hear the sounds of Grammy winning singer-songwriter Bebel Gilberto and the Samba drummers, watch the colorfully clad dancers and take a taste of Brazil’s cuisine and cocktails.

iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina

The 3rd annual iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina will be held on November 5th at Miami American Airlines Arena. This year’s lineup will include some of the top Latin-music performers in the world such as Juanes, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Daddy Yankee and Nicky Jam.

The concert will definitely be one of the most popular of the fall season. The tickets range in price from $29-$169 and are available for purchase at all Ticketmaster outlets and by calling 800-745-3000. For more information, please also visit iHeartRadio.


Kravis brings you Broadway

The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is going to have a sensational 2016-2017 season. Kravis kicks off its 25th anniversary by bringing the following Broadway plays and shows.

The season at Kravis begins on Tuesday, November 15th with the Tony award winner for best play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, and the season ends on Sunday, May 9th with everybody’s favorite musical, The Sound of Music.
