Why Not Parkland?
As a former resident of this fabulous, friendly community, I feel qualified to laud the merits of this suburban wonderland. When I moved here from the northeast over 15 years ago I was concerned about my new Florida lifestyle, the people I was about to meet and of course my children’s education. The transition to Florida life could not have been more seamless. Within weeks I had made friends, joined a temple and enrolled my children in what turned out to be excellent schools.
Parkland currently offers a great inventory of resale homes, including several brand new communities currently under construction. Also new to the community is their first active adult subdivision. Whether you want a gated community with amenities galore or an equestrian property on several acres of land, you will be sure to find what you are looking for.
Parkland is located south of west Boca Raton in Broward County. They have their own town hall, community playground, dog park (Barkland!), equestrian area and countless parks for sports and leisure. Shopping, highways and airports are all close by. Parkland is also home to some of South Florida’s best golf courses. One of my favorite surprises while living there was waking up one Sunday morning to a parade of colorful hot air balloons drifting over my house.
