Summer is in full swing here in Boca Raton, and there’s no better place to spend the warmer months than our local area. The city has a wide variety of exciting activities all year round, and the summertime is no exception. Our Boca Raton real estate agents all live in the area, and are always happy to offer up recommendations to newcomers in search of excitement.
Here are four of our favorite summer activities in Boca Raton.
Explore Gumbo Limbo Nature Center
If you’re a nature lover, a trip to this environmental center is a must. With a sea turtle rehabilitation center, outdoor marine aquariums, and a butterfly garden, there are plenty of opportunities to see wildlife. The complex also has two trails (one of which is a boardwalk trail), an outdoor amphitheater and a nature center.
Mizner Park’s Summer in the City is underway, offering concerts and movies under the stars every Friday, through August 12. Whether you’re dancing to a Tom Petty cover band or curling up on a blanket to watch “Moana,” you’re sure to have a fantastic evening.
Tour the Boca Raton Museum of Art
The museum is offering free admission this July, so now is the time to visit. In addition to waived admission, five free films about the creative process will be shown at the museum as well. If you’re looking to explore your own creative side, the museum offers an array of classes year round.
Splash Around at Coconut Cove Waterpark
Whether you’re a local or new to the area, it should serve as no surprise that it gets hot in Boca Raton during the summer. Luckily, West Boca has a waterpark where residents can cool down. Coconut Cove is complete with a lazy river, a pool, waterslides, and a water playground.
