Boca Raton Market Updates

If there’s one question our Boca Raton real estate agency gets more frequently than any other in real estate, it’s “so, how’s the market?” Many real estate professionals will simply assure the questioner that it’s great or incredibly busy, but that really is doing the person asking a disservice. In reality, there is truly not a succinct answer. As I touched upon last month, our local area is actually more of a dual market. As is true in most markets, the higher up the price ladder, the more lengthy the time on market will be.

Thinking about selling your Boca area home or condo? Deciding to sell is a big decision for anyone, regardless of size, location, or any other individual characteristics that relate to your property specifically.

If you’ve never sold a home before, it’s safe to say the entire process can be quite the emotional roller coaster to say the least. Along with prepping your home to put on the market, making sure it’s ready to show, and planning your schedule around private showings and open houses, it’s also a strange feeling knowing that complete strangers will soon be walking through where you live and checking out every nook and cranny to determine if it’s the right place for them to one day call home.

Boca Pumpkin Festival As the old saying goes, just because we’re in South Florida doesn't mean we can’t also enjoy the best of what the fall season has to offer. And there’s no better way to do just that than to swing over to the annual Boca Raton Pumpkin Patch Festival, which is already here and taking place this weekend over at the Mizner Park Amphitheater.

Much like in years past, the 2017 Boca Raton Pumpkin Patch Festival will feature all sorts of fun games, events, and activities, including a pumpkin patch that allows festival-goers to pick out pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for their own at-home decorating, a full pumpkin decorating tent for the kiddos, and yes—even a pumpkin-themed food court and beer tents with all sorts of autumn-inspired drinks and goodies.

The Florida Association of Realtors has released the sales figures for August 2017. It will be interesting to take a look back next month, once the September figures are in. I expect that the number of closed sales will have decreased as a result of Hurricane Irma, and it may take a few months to recover to “normal” levels.

When people ask how the market is in Boca, the answer is a little complicated. There are really several different tales depending upon the price point. When people think about Boca real estate, they tend to focus on the multi-million dollar properties, but the reality is the majority of our sales are priced much lower.

For instance, in August 2017, only 5% of closed sales with a Boca mailing address were properties over the…
