The Patch Reef Park is operated by the City of Boca Raton and consists of 55 acres of both active and passive recreation facilities. This is a huge park full of things to do. The park amenities include:

• Softball and baseball fields
• Soccer and football fields
• Basketball courts
• A fitness trail
• Children's playground
• Tennis courts
• Picnic pavilions
• A community center

Many upcoming activities for children are features at the park including:

• Summer Tennis Camp - A 10-week camp for ages 1 to 16 and 3 to 6, starting on June 10th and running until August 16th. Two camps are offered for both age groups on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 12pm or from 9am to 3:30pm.
• Summer Young Artwork Saturdays - For children ages 2 to 6, this is a fun art event for children to enjoy. It will be held on June 22nd, June 29th, July 13th, July 20th, August 3rd, August 10th, August 24th and August 31st. Ages 2 and 3 will be from 10:30am to 11:15am and Ages 4 to 6 will be from 11:30 to 12:15pm.
• Fishing Academy - From 9am to Noon Monday through Friday and for ages 6 to 13.Two, one week sessions will be held on June 17th through 21st and July 8th through 12th.
• Pirates & Princesses Party - For children ages 2 to 5 on August 23rd from 10am to noon.

Along with the many events for children, the community center features many classes for both children and adults.

Permits for Beach, Boat and Dogs

If you want to enjoy the beach, launch your boat or take your dog to the Mizner Bark Dog Park, you will need a permit. Here's how the prices breakdown.

• Beach Parking Permits - $55 (Includes use of Red Reef, South beach and Spanish River Parks)
• Annual Boat Launch and Recovery Permits - $55 for Palm Beach County Residents
• Daily Fee Boat Launch and Recovery Permits - $20 for Palm Beach County Residents
• Dog Park Annual or Monthly Permit - No Charge for Boca Raton Beach or City residents
