This is a 132-acre park with plenty of great features. Whether you want to enjoy the Willow Theatre or the Children's Science Explorium, there's plenty to do here. Park features include:

With all these great features, it's easy to enjoy the park. The Carousel is one of the most popular features, which includes over 30 horses and its 36-feet in diameter. The Dentzel-style scenery provides a great classic carousel for children to enjoy. Another popular feature includes the nature tails, which provide a great place to walk and enjoy the beautiful natural areas of the park.
The Community Center
Within Sugar Sand Park, a community center is found with clean facilities, plenty of educational programs and many other features. During the summer, the center provides many summer camps and programs including:

The community center hours are from 8am to 10pm Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm on Saturdays and from 10am to 5pm on Sundays.
Athletics are also features throughout the park with plenty of different facilities. Whether you're interested in hockey, baseball, volleyball or basketball, you can find it here. Plenty of youth leagues are offered and even an adult basketball league. This is a great place to enjoy many activities and get your children involved.
The park is open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 11pm and on Sunday from 8am to sunset. The Carousel opens daily at 10am and stays open until 7pm during the week and until 5pm on weekends. The playground opens daily at 8am and stays open until sunset, while the Field House also opens at 8am, but stays open until 10pm, except on Sundays when it opens at 11am and stays open until 5pm.
