How to Prepare Your Boca Raton Home For Sale II

Posted by Gloria Singer on Monday, November 10th, 2008 at 5:59pm.

As a continuation to an earlier blog (which you can view here), another way to ready your Boca Raton home is to conduct a spring cleaning. Open the closet doors and get all those items that are constantly falling out into boxes or donated to a charity. The prospective buyer will want to see how large the closets are and this is not possible when they are full of clutter. The essentials can be rearranged to present a neat appearance instead of being haphazardly thrown into the closet.

If you have too much stuff in your Boca Raton, FL house, take it to storage. Do not stack boxes in rooms that people will be inspecting. The only items that need to be left are essential items and furniture that displays the purpose of the room.

There are items that you may not think to take down or pack away until the last minute. If your drapes or window treatments will not be staying with the home, take them down and replace them with something cheap but tasteful. Many prospective buyers will ask if certain items are staying and if they are not, it can save a lot of confusion by removing them.

If there are parts of the home that need minor repair, go ahead and do it so the house will look its best. If you have colors that are a personal choice, you may want to change everything to neutral. Everyone’s idea of bathroom décor may not be marine life.

Do not forget to clean your home - every inch, every corner, everything a prospective buyer will be inspecting. This is a tell-tale sign of how well the home has been taken care of and if it appears that it has not been this may prevent someone from making an offer on your Boca Raton, FL house.

Remember to take a long hard look at the outside of your home - front and back - and give it an attractive look. This may mean pressure washing, mowing the lawn, trimming bushes, and many other ways to make the entrance and exit of your Boca Raton, FL real estate appealing.
